Stefan Boddie
Managing Director
Stefan has more than 20 years of experience developing digital library software and is widely recognised as a pioneer in the digital collections sector.
In 1997, he worked as a Software Engineer on the internationally respected NZDL research project at the University of Waikato in New Zealand.
Stefan was one of the original designers and developers of Greenstone Software, a leading digital library platform used by institutions around the world.
In 2002, Stefan founded DL Consulting Ltd. and created Veridian Software. Since then, he has led successful large-scale digitisation projects at prestigious institutions across the United States, Europe, Asia, Australia, and New Zealand.
Stefan also leads Veridian's research and development initiatives, including the responsible application of AI to improve search experiences, increase the relevance of results, summarise large volumes of information, and strengthen how users discover and engage with trusted source material.
Kuan-Yu (Jeffrey) Ke
Operations Manager, Project Lead
Jeffrey first joined Veridian in 2005 and brings extensive experience in client requirements analysis, solution design, project management, and software development. His ability to understand complex challenges and translate them into practical solutions makes him a trusted advisor to our customers.
With a Master's degree in Computing and Mathematical Science, Jeffrey has a deep technical understanding of large digital library systems and has contributed to many key Veridian projects, including Digital Michigan Newspapers at Central Michigan University and the development of the National Library of Estonia's Newspaper Archive.
Jeffrey also leads Veridian's responsible AI research and development initiatives related to streamlining digitisation and data conversion workflows.
Michael Dewsnip
CHIEF ENGINEER, PROJECT LEAD
Michael holds a Master's degree in Computer Science and has been leading the engineering and development of Veridian Software since 2007.
He has deep expertise in library and digital collections technologies, including METS/ALTO, OAI-PMH, National Digital Newspaper Program (NDNP) technical guidelines, and JPEG 2000.
Michael plays a key role in ensuring the Veridian platform continues to scale and evolve, overseeing some of the company's largest and most complex implementations, including projects for the National Libraries of New Zealand and Singapore.
He also leads the development of new platform features and enhancements, with a strong focus on usability, performance, and accessibility, helping ensure Veridian continues to meet the evolving needs and expectations of both organisations and end users.
John Thompson
Solution Architect, Project Lead
John is a seasoned Software Engineer with nearly three decades of programming experience, bringing deep expertise in web technologies, digital libraries, and big data.
After a decade at Veridian, he took time away to complete a PhD in Computer Science and pursue other ventures before recently rejoining the team with fresh perspectives and knowledge.
John now plays a key role in Veridian's technical architecture, security initiatives, and the implementation of new digital collections. He designs and delivers solutions that protect collections from malicious activity, unauthorised access, and large-scale scraping, while ensuring new collections are deployed efficiently and built to scale.
His work helps keep collections secure, resilient, and accessible to genuine users, supporting the long-term sustainability of the organisations that manage them.
Richard Managh
Delivery Lead
Richard joined Veridian in 2003 and has led many large-scale newspaper digitisation projects, including Virginia Chronicle for the Library of Virginia and the Colorado Historic Newspapers Collection for the Colorado State Library.
With expertise spanning project management, solution design, data conversion, digital asset management, and custom user interface development, Richard brings a holistic understanding of what it takes to build successful digital collections. His ability to bridge technical requirements with practical outcomes helps clients deliver collections that are accessible, discoverable, and built to grow over time.
Richard holds a degree in Computer Science from the University of Waikato.
Damian Bennett
Marketing Manager
With extensive experience in marketing, communications, and business development across the professional services, technology, and data and insights sectors, Damian has been contracted to support Veridian's strategic growth and market development initiatives.
He works closely with partners, institutions, and internal teams to enhance the client experience, strengthen sales and onboarding processes, and identify new opportunities for innovation through ongoing collaboration with clients.
By translating customer needs into actionable insights, Damian helps shape future platform enhancements while strengthening Veridian's position as a trusted partner within the global archival and cultural heritage community.
Michelle Boddie
Recruitment & Office Support
Michelle brings extensive experience in recruitment, property management, and health and safety to her role at Veridian.
She is responsible for coordinating end-to-end recruitment processes, overseeing property and facility requirements, and ensuring that compliance tasks are carried out smoothly and efficiently. In addition, Michelle organises internal events and contributes to a positive team culture.
Known for stepping in wherever she can be helpful, as well as for her attention to detail and approachable manner, Michelle plays a key role in supporting the team at Veridian
Andrew Holland
Project Lead
Andrew holds a Bachelor of Computing and Mathematical Sciences (Honours) from the University of Waikato and has been with Veridian since 2011.
He works closely with clients to customise digital collections so each platform reflects their unique brand, audience, and organisational goals.
Andrew plays an important role in tailoring user experiences, implementing new features, and ensuring collections continue to evolve alongside customer needs.
He also manages the ongoing maintenance and growth of several key digital collections, overseeing new data ingestion and leveraging his expertise in database management to ensure collections remain accurate, accessible, and discoverable over time.
Shane Taylor
IT & Systems Administrator
Shane joined Veridian in 2008 and has more than 20 years of experience as a Systems Administrator.
He has extensive expertise in cloud infrastructure, deployment, file systems, backup and recovery, automation, virtualisation, and open-source technologies.
Shane plays a critical role in ensuring Veridian's environments remain secure, reliable, and scalable, supporting collections ranging from small archives to large institutional repositories.
He also helps design and maintain the infrastructure that underpins Veridian's global deployments, ensuring clients benefit from high-performing, resilient systems that can evolve alongside their collections over time.
Pei Wang
Project Lead
Pei is an experienced digital library software developer and designer who has been with Veridian since 2017. He has managed projects for institutions including The Exonian Archive and Case Western Reserve University, helping clients successfully deliver and evolve their digital collections.
Pei combines strong technical expertise with a practical, solution-focused approach, supporting software development, platform customisation, and the ongoing maintenance of digital collections.
He works closely with clients to solve complex challenges, implement new functionality, and ensure collections remain accessible, discoverable, and responsive to changing user needs.
Ryan Hatherill
Senior Software Engineer
Ryan joined Veridian in 2020 after graduating with a Bachelor of Computer Science from the University of Waikato.
He contributes to the ongoing development and maintenance of the Veridian platform, supporting software upgrades, client customisations, and technical enhancements across a range of digital collections.
Ryan also plays a role in implementing new features and ensuring collections continue to evolve alongside customer needs and changing technologies.
Noelle Rubio

Noelle joined Veridian in 2023 and brings fresh perspectives and strong technical expertise to the team. She graduated with First-Class Honours in a Bachelor of Engineering, specialising in Software Engineering, from the University of Waikato in 2021.
Noelle contributes across software development, platform enhancements, and client projects, working closely with the team to implement new functionality and continually improve the Veridian platform.
Her collaborative approach, attention to detail, and passion for solving problems help ensure clients benefit from a modern and evolving digital collections experience.
