In impressive news, a Veridian collection, the Catholic News Archive, has been selected by ACRL Choice Reviews as one of its outstanding academic titles of 2021. This puts them in a privileged position, as one of only 11 electronic resources included in a total of 440 titles; the majority being book titles. This represents the top 3% of all titles submitted to Choice Reviews, putting the collection among the ‘best of the best.’
Executive Director at the Catholic Research Resources Alliance (CRRA), Jennifer A. Younger, says that, “This award is not just a recognition of the Catholic News Archive, it is a recognition of the CRRA community and its effort and commitment to collaborating to build a resource that is a significant contribution to research.”
“The CRRA community includes all of our digitizing and vendor partners, especially Veridian, which we consider the gold standard of newspaper platform services.”
It’s fantastic to see a Veridian collection recognised in this way. Congratulations to the Catholic News Archive team!
