It’s always satisfying to see a new Veridian collection come to life, with a recent one being the Lawrenceville School’s digital publication collection. The New Jersey school’s site holds a wide range of titles from the Stephan Archives (John Stephan being a former student) including The Graduate, the first school newspaper published prior to the school’s reorganisation in 1883. This publication was replaced by The Lawrenceville Record, before being again succeeded by The Lawrence in 1886, which continues to be published today.
The collection also includes the school’s alumni magazine, The Lawrentian, which is now published quarterly. In total, there are 3,780 issues that form the new collection, comprising 38,684 pages.
This project was a migration from Olive/Ignite, and our goal was to complete the data migration and implementation before the Lawrenceville School’s existing contract expired in November 2022. With the project receiving the green light last October, we completed every task by the end of November thus meeting the deadline, with the site going live in mid-December.
We enjoyed the process of working with the Lawrenceville School team to launch this digital collection, and look forward to seeing how it evolves over time.
